A sharp, bright tequila classic made with orange liqueur, lime and just enough sweetness to bring it all together.


A good Margarita is one of those drinks every bartender should feel comfortable making. It is simple, popular and easy to adjust once you understand the balance.

Margarita

Tequila, orange liqueur, and lime.


Glassware

Coupe glass with a salt rim.


Garnish

Lime wedge


Ingredients

45ml Tequila 15ml Orange Liqueur, such as Cointreau, Triple Sec or Orange Curaçao


Recipe

Prepare your glass first.

Moisten the outside edge of the glass with a lime wedge, then gently roll that section through salt.

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard until chilled.

Fine strain into the prepared glass.

Garnish with a lime wedge.
