A tall, tropical gin cocktail with cherry, pineapple, citrus and grenadine.


The Singapore Sling is popular for a reason. It is fruity, refreshing and full of flavour, but still has enough structure from the gin, liqueurs and citrus to feel like a proper classic cocktail.

Singapore Sling

Gin, cherry brandy, Benedictine, orange liqueur, pineapple, lime and grenadine.


Glassware

Collins glass or hurricane glass.


Garnish

Pineapple wedge skewered with a maraschino cherry.


Ingredients

45ml Gin 15ml Cherry Brandy (such as Heering Cherry Liqueur) 7.5ml Benedictine D.O.M. Liqueur 7.5ml Orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier, Triple Sec or Orange Curaçao

45ml pineapple juice

Optional: 1 dash aromatic bitters, such as Angostura


Recipe

Prepare your glass and garnish first.

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard until chilled.

Fine strain into a Collins glass or hurricane glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.
