If you haven't had the spirit that is Batavia Arrack before, try it in a sour first. It's a great way to try the complexities of the spirit without being hit over the head by it.

Batavia arrack, lemon juice, maraschino, and foam

Skewered maraschino cherry


Ingredients

60ml Batavia Arrack 15ml Lemon Cocktail Juice

2 dashes of aromatic bitters (such as Amargo Chuncho or Angostura)

2 drops of Saline Solution


Recipe

  1. Prepare your glass and garnish.

  2. Shake all ingredients with ice.

  3. Fine strain into the glass.

  4. Garnish.
