A sweet, nutty sour with lemon, bitters and a soft foamy top.


The Amaretto Sour is one of those drinks that introduces a lot of people to cocktails. It is approachable, rich and easy to enjoy, with lemon adding brightness and bitters helping keep the sweetness in check.

Amaretto Sour

Amaretto, lemon and foam.


Glassware

Rocks glass.


Garnish

Skewered lemon and cherry.


Ingredients

60ml Amaretto

30ml cocktail foamer, such as egg white

2 dashes aromatic bitters, such as Angostura

1 dash orange bitters


Recipe

Prepare your glass and garnish first.

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard until chilled.

Strain out the ice, then shake again without ice to help build the foam.

Fine strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with a skewered lemon and cherry.
