A smoky, spirit-forward Old Fashioned with tequila, mezcal, agave and bitters.


The Oaxacan Old Fashioned is a modern classic that brings together the smoothness of tequila and the smoke of mezcal. Agave syrup ties the drink together and keeps the sweetness in the same flavour family as the spirits.

Oaxacan Old Fashioned

Tequila, mezcal, agave and bitters.


Glassware

Rocks glass.


Garnish

Orange twist.


Ingredients

45ml Tequila

15ml Mezcal

2 dashes aromatic bitters, such as Angostura

1 dash orange bitters


Recipe

Prepare your glass and garnish first.

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.

Stir until chilled and properly diluted.

Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with an orange twist
