A classic tiki cocktail that fell into the same way as the Mai Tai in the 1980s, in that it was bombarded with sweet artificial syrups and the original recipe was almost lost. Thankfully, we have a much more balanced and approachable drink today. Although the original Hurricane called for Red Passionola Syrup, that one is still in the works here at Bilby's. Stay tuned.

Hurricane

Aged rum, pineapple, orange, lime, and passionfruit


Glassware

Hurricane glass or tiki mug


Garnish

Pineapple wedge skewered with a maraschino cherry


Ingredients

45ml Gold rum

15ml Navy strength rum

25ml Pineapple juice


Recipe

  1. Prepare your glass and garnish

  2. Shake everything with ice

  3. Fine strain into a glass filled with ice

  4. Garnish
