The weather is getting colder, so cold in fact that you are thinking of starting the day with a shot of whisky. "But wait!" you think, "I still need to have my morning coffee too!".

Irish Coffee

Whisky, demerara, coffee, and cream

Garnish

Freshly grated nutmeg


Ingredients

30ml Whisky

60ml Hot filter coffee

30ml Heavy cream


Recipe

  1. Preheat your glass by filling it with hot water.

  2. Prepare your garnish.

  3. Warm cream and whip with a milk frother.

  4. Empty the hot water from the glass and add the first three ingredients.

  5. Stir to combine.

  6. Float cream on top using the back of a warm spoon to gently layer on top of the liquid.

  7. Garnish.
