The Toddy can be dated back to 1741, which predates the first published mention of the word cocktail. This version sounds really good for you when reading the ingredients, well, except for the whisky.

Hot Toddy

Whisky, lemon, honey, clove, and ginger

Glassware

Toddy glass or a ceramic mug

Garnish

A cinnamon stick and a lemon wheel

Ingredients

50ml Whisky

10ml Lemon Cocktail Juice

15ml Honey Ginger Syrup

3 cloves

60ml Boiling Water

Recipe

Heat your glass with boiling water
Prepare your garnish.
Pour all ingredients into the warmed glass.
Garnish.
