A savoury, spicy brunch classic with vodka, tomato, citrus and heat.
A good Bloody Mary should not taste heavy or muddy. It should be light, zingy, sour, spicy and refreshing, with enough savoury depth to make the whole drink feel properly seasoned.
Bloody Mary
Vodka, Worcestershire, hot sauce, spices, citrus and tomato juice.
Glassware
Collins glass.
Optional: celery salt rim.
Garnish
Celery stick.
Optional: lemon wedge with freshly cracked pepper.
Ingredients
45ml Vodka 120ml Tomato Juice
Recipe
Prepare your glass and garnish first.
For a Celery Salt rim, moisten the outside edge of the glass with a lemon wedge, then gently roll that section through Celery Salt.
Add the vodka, tomato juice and Bloody Mary Spice Mix to a shaker with ice.
Roll the drink between two shakers, or shake very gently, until chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a celery stick, or a lemon wedge with freshly cracked pepper.
